Kate Wichlinski is a photographer specializing in architectural exteriors, interiors and portraiture. She is originally from Memphis, TN where she received an MFA in Photography in 2010. Interested in photography from an early age, it was in her late-twenties that she discovered the medium’s power as a means of self-expression. Her fine art portraits, intimate images through which she creates explorative narratives of life, have been included nationally in group and solo exhibitions, most recently in 2019 at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.  Her work has received awards from the Center for Photography at Madison, WI, Photographer’s Forum, and The University of Memphis.

In 2013, Kate’s desire to elevate her photography career took her to New York City, where she was able to merge her interests of photography and architecture.  While in New York, Kate photographed for CTC Creative, a firm that specializes in executing full scale photography and videography projects for commercial real estate clients. In this position, Kate took the lead on photographing a variety of properties, while demonstrating the ability to work independently and think quickly on her feet.

Wichlinski moved to the DC area in 2018, working as an independent architectural photographer since.  Kate is committed to providing her clients with photographs that reflect elevated attention to detail while maintaining an aesthetic eye. Her work has been published in Oprah Magazine, Home & Design, Modern Luxury DC, Newport Life, Southern Living and The Washington Post.
